Jennifer Lawrence’s Stunning Teen Vogue Shoot

Jennifer Lawrence of Winter’s Bone is a star on the rise.  She is in demand for films and campaigns, is photographed everywhere she goes, and now has landed the cover and inside pages of Teen Vogue for May 2011.

The 20-year-old actress looks beautiful in a spread shot by Patrick Demarchelier.  In her interview she discussed such topics as her new role in The Hunger Games, as well as being a tomboy at heart.

Highlights from Miss Lawrence’s issue of Teen Vogue are as below. For more, visit Teen Vogue!

On Landing the Lead in The Hunger Games:

“The cool thing about Katniss is that every fan has such a personal relationship with her, and they understand and know her in a singular way.”

On Katniss:

“She’s incredibly powerful, brave, and tough—and yet she has a tenderness and complexity.”

On Skipping High School to Pursue Acting:

“Some people think I missed out, but if I had the choice of being in class or moving to New York, I got the childhood of my dreams.”

On Being a Tomboy at Heart:

“I was a cheerleader for six years, but I also have this totally competitive side. I’ll wrestle anyone at any time.”

As always, I’m not a big fan of blonde hair blue eyes but she does look very pretty.  I haven’t seen any of her films so I cannot attest to her acting prowess but I do hear good things.  Let me know if you’ve seen Winter’s Bone and if it is worth renting.  Here are the pics, yay or nay?:

  1. It’s really nice to see a photoshoot where the celebrity is not half dressed and skanked up. Granted its targeted at a younger audience, but still it’s very refreshing to know it still exists!
