According to TMZ, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has entered rehab for substance abuse.
Their sources tell that the reality star checked into an inpatient treatment program, while a rep for the 29 year-old says the rehabbing isn’t for substance issues, rather he “has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule.” Yeah…right…I’m sure. He definitely in rehab. He has been a mess for some time and I would not be surprised if this was for more than just alcohol abuse. Having worked in substance abuse for just over three years I can see some classic behaviors in him or substance abuse. Given his rage tendencies I can’t help but wonder if he is on steroids as well.
With the constant partying and endless nightclub appearances portrayed on the show, this may not come as a shock to many people, though “The Situation” took to his Twitter page earlier today, saying, “Getting in amazing shape for season 6!”
What lies ahead for the future is unknown right now, but filming for “Jersey Shore” is still set to start this summer.
